Morning Light, an original poem by dennis j hopkins

In the clear, morning light of a brand new day,
I will walk with you along the shores of forever
Holding hands like we were always meant to be,
for the nightmare time of fear and loneliness has passed
Love is such a truly wondrous and natural state of being
that I wonder why it's not more commonly shared
I feel our glowing, rainbow aura spreading within
us and the very grains of the sands of time
It is so phenomenal to be whole and free
after being suspended so long in limbo
Perhaps today we might take flight
and soar on our butterfly wings,
allowing the breezes to take us
wherever they might be going
After all, there is really no hurry,
once you've found your home
For it will then always be within
your heart, passion, and soul,
as was foretold in the words,
"Let there be Light."
